Our board includes students from a variety of years and majors. We represent a wide array of backgrounds and skills, working together to make SEED the best that it can be!
Karen is a fourth-year McIntire student studying Commerce with a concentration in Finance and Accounting. She has been with SEED since her first semester at UVA, working with clients in the nonprofit and startup spaces. In her free time, Karen enjoys exploring the Charlottesville food scene, playing volleyball, and binge-watching the latest comedy TV shows.
Neil Kothari is a third-year Commerce and Statistics student, concentrating in Finance and IT. Neil works on the Credit Strategy and Capital Markets teams at GreenSky (NASDAQ: GSKY). Last year, Neil was SEED's Marketing Director and a consultant for iXperience before that. He appreciates the socially-minded mission of SEED and is excited to lead strategic initiatives to move the group forward.
Outside of SEED, Neil is involved with the McIntire Investment Institute, Waffle Wednesday, and Housing and Residence Life.
VP of Projects
Tobias Abramenko is a third-year student majoring in commerce. Tobias has been involved with SEED since his second year, where he was a consultant for FinMango his first semester and became Project Lead for the second semester, and now volunteers for FinMango part-time. Tobias is passionate about fostering and expanding the symbiotic relationship SEED has with nonprofit organizations and their impactful missions.
Outside of SEED, Tobias is involved with Future Business Leaders of America (Phi Beta Lambda), The Cavalier Daily, and enjoys playing basketball and soccer.
VP of Projects
Zara Ali is a fourth-year from Boston, double majoring in Commerce and Global Studies: Security and Justice with minors in Entrepreneurship and Religious Studies. This is her third year with SEED, and her second year as VP of SEED's projects and client relations. Zara is passionate about social entrepreneurship, particularly its role in promoting financial literacy and poverty alleviation. Outside of SEED, Zara is involved with TEDxUVA and the Honor system and loves traveling and rowing on the water.
VP of Development
Zach Schwertz is an incoming Investment Banking Analyst at Greenhill & Co. and a fourth-year Commerce student from Richmond, Virginia pursuing Finance and Accounting concentrations.
Zach has been with SEED since his first semester at UVA and has worked with a variety of clients, providing pro-bono consulting services for start-ups, nonprofits, and social impact entrepreneurs. This year, Zach aims to increase idea-sharing and accountability among members while providing education on consulting practices and networking techniques. Outside of SEED, Zach is involved in AIF, Madison House and Greek life, and enjoys playing basketball and going for runs.
Utkarsh Chirimar is a 3rd-year in the engineering school, pursuing computer science with an engineering business minor. He has been a part of SEED since his first year and has consulted for multiple non-profits through the organization.
Outside of SEED, he dances for Virginia Di Shaan, a South Asian competitive dance team, and a board member of East Coast Showdown, a competitive dancing event held in Charlottesville. Aside from dancing, in his free time, Utkarsh enjoys spending tons of time outdoors with his family and friends.
Megan is a 4th-year from Northern Virginia majoring in Systems Engineering and minoring in data analysis & engineering business. She has worked with clients including NorthShea, Drunk Fruit, and Habitats for Humanity in and outside of SEED.
Outside of SEED, Megan also does social media marketing for Kung Fu Tea and teaches coding classes with Boolean Girl. In her free time, she loves learning about skincare and vlogging!
Victoria is a third-year from Wisconsin double majoring in mathematics and economics. Since joining SEED in her first semester at UVA, she has worked on numerous projects varying from water filtration to refugee aid. In her free time, Victoria enjoys falling down Youtube rabbit holes and reading biographies.
Caitlin Murphy is a fourth year from New York City. She is currently in the Batten School studying Public Policy and Leadership as well as Math and Spanish. She joined SEED her second year and has enjoyed working with a variety of clients locally and internationally. Outside of academics, Caitlin enjoys running, biking, sailing, and exploring new places.
Pragya is a third-year from Raleigh, North Carolina pursuing majors in Finance and Management and a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. Pragya has been with SEED since her first semester at UVA and is passionate about helping nonprofits and social enterprises with strategy and management.
She holds previous experience working for startups including CoThryve and Barrel Bag, helping them build a strong presence across a number of social platforms. In her free time, you can find her painting or having a picnic on the Lawn.
