Zach Schwertz,

Development Chair


Zach Schwertz is a third-year Commerce student from Richmond, Virginia pursuing a Finance concentration. Zach has been with SEED since his first semester at UVA and has worked with a variety of clients, providing pro-bono consulting services for start-ups, nonprofits and social impact entrepreneurs. His consulting contributions have included researching cost reduction and operational efficiency opportunities to propose customer acquisition strategies for DreamWakers, completing a competitive analysis of the predictive healthcare technology market and entry strategies for MIST, and evaluating marketing strategies for mentors at International Youth for a Better World to increase mentor quantity and
engagement. As Director of Development, Zach aims to increase idea-sharing and accountability
among members while providing education on consulting practices and networking techniques.
Outside of SEED, Zach is involved in Student Council, Madison House and Greek life, and
enjoys playing basketball and going for runs in his free time.
